Peggy Sue, The Albert, 24 March

by Jonathan

Brighton’s Peggy Sue seem to have been around for an age steadily winning over new admirers, and while the Pirate name was ditched a while ago, the beautiful tunes still remain. After touring endlessly in 2009 with the likes of Mumford & Sons, Kate Nash and the Maccabees – and having released a handful of extremely limited and extremely cool 7” vinyls on all the right labels – they’ve finally signed to Wichita Records.

2010 looks set to be yet another busy year for Peggy Sue with debut album “Fossils and Other Phantoms” set to drop in April and a European tour already planned with Lazy Brighton favourites Archie Bronson Outfit. Snap up a ticket fast because this intimate show at The Albert should be something just a little bit special.
